1. Acceptance

By accessing or using genderaffirmingla.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. No medical advice; no clinician-patient relationship

Information on the Site is for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Visiting the Site, sending us a message, or filling out a contact form does not create a clinician-patient relationship. A clinician-patient relationship is created only by direct, agreed-upon engagement of services with a clinician at Pasadena Clinical Group.

3. Emergencies

The Site is not for emergencies. Call or text 988 or call 911 in an emergency.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and code, is the property of Pasadena Clinical Group or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any portion of the Site without our prior written permission, except that you may print or download a single copy of pages for your personal, non-commercial reference.

5. Content you submit

If you submit content through forms (e.g., contact, practicum application), you represent that the content is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use submitted content for the purposes of operating the Site and the Practice. You will not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes anyone's rights.

We are not responsible for content on third-party sites linked from ours.

7. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY CALIFORNIA LAW.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY CALIFORNIA LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL PASADENA CLINICAL GROUP, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pasadena Clinical Group from any claim, demand, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your use of the Site, except to the extent caused by our negligence or willful misconduct.

10. Dispute resolution — mediation, then arbitration, on an as-is basis

The parties agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site as follows, in this order:

  1. Informal resolution. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute by good-faith discussion for at least 30 days.
  2. Mediation. If informal resolution fails, the dispute will be submitted to non-binding mediation administered by JAMS or AAA in Los Angeles County, California. The parties will share the cost of mediation equally.
  3. Binding arbitration. If mediation fails to resolve the dispute within sixty (60) days, the dispute will be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS or AAA in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the chosen administrator. The arbitrator's award will be final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
  4. As-is basis. Each party agrees that the dispute will be resolved on an "as-is" basis — meaning neither party may revise, expand, or amend a claim once the dispute resolution process is initiated, except as the rules of the administrator allow.

This provision does not prevent either party from seeking provisional remedies in court (e.g., injunctive relief) where necessary to preserve the status quo. Disputes that cannot be arbitrated under applicable law are excluded from this provision.

11. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any matter not subject to arbitration is the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

12. Severability; entire agreement; modification

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the Site. We may modify these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
